I have been wearing covergirl trushine in pink and then using almay clear lipgloss so it doesn't rub off so easily.
but it doesn't last as long as i think it should.
should i go to a different brand lipstick and keep the clear lipgloss for sheen?

Most lipgloss's last about 10 minutes! lol, go for a lipstick instead. Check out clinique buttershine lipstick. It goes on like a lipstick and is shiny and soft. The line has four or five light pink shades so just ask the sales assistant to help you get the right shade of pink, they last a lot longer than a gloss, hope I helped:)Question about choosing lipstick or lip gloss?
i recommend you try a red lipstick with mac's(vellum) on top.. vellum is a super high tec eyeshadow that when worn over a red lipstick it bleeds through to make a sutler pink color. u,, or if you wanted a gloss i would suggest smashboxes gloss that goes on clear and adapts to the perfect color for your lips.
Either way when dealing with lip gloss, its gonna rub off! So re-applying is a must! If you want color that lasts longer go for a lip stain then put gloss over that for sheen. I like using a lip liner pencil to stain my lips before lipstick or gloss. It holds color longer since it doesnt rub off.
I'm really pale too, and you're right, brighter lip colors don't look very good. I find it looks best to just keep your lips looking natural. Maybe a little lip gloss if you feel like it.. but I don't. I just use chapstick and leave my lips alone.
If I was in that situation, I would definatly change the lip-stick and stay with the clear lipgloss. Believe me, it should make a difference.

lip-gloss is a little more natural and i like it better but i am not going against lipstick
