A little gloss makes your lips look moist, which is good. Too much and you get into stripper territory. As with everything, balance is the key to looking attractive, without looking cheap.





those thin darker lines around lips always looked awful.. they were never in style, unless you mean they were popular amongst fashionless idiots, cos they sure were popular for a while.... however lip-liner isn't out of style.

Are lined lips out of style? That's like asking if eyeshadow is out of style! It's a piece of makeup. It can't go out of style. The problem is that people don't know how to line their lips and so they look HORRIBLE and ridiculous when they try. The trick is (just like with almost every other piece of makeup!) to make it look like you have none on and that your lips are just naturally full. Like that man up there said,

Couldn't have said it better myself! I think lipgloss looks better, personally. Matte lipstick always looks like they need some chapstick!

Style is so varied right now, it's awesome! You can really do what you want with makeup and fashion, like just being ';trendy'; itself is OUT of style!





Wear what YOU love to wear, that's what style *is* in the end.





Though personally, I haven't seen any one in a while who could pull off the heavily defined lip line and look good -- it's a lil ghetto fab in my opinion.





If it's a liner that MATCHES the lip color though, then that's still used by most women because it extends the wear of the color itself =o)
Depends on the person. Some people look good in a matte lipstick. It also depends on the event. I think matte is an evening look, and glossy is a daytime lighter look.





Dark lined lips are OUT. Unless you are goth, then go for it.
lip liners look slutty and remind me of peroxide blonde middle aged fat ladies, who still wear low cut tops and flirt with men





Matt lipstick for the day and gloss lipstick for evenings/parties
it depends on the occasion and what your wearing ect. I fancy night out i'd say mat lipstick would suit better. And on a day out at work or school gloss lipstick would be better.

gloss..it diffuses those wrinkles on ur lips making them look smoother n fuller.





lip liner?? dont do it... unless ur going to fill ur whole lip with it, then pat it gently to stain it, otherwise it looks scary!

lip stain by benefit works very well, its not sticky like lip gloss. LINED LIPS ARE COMPLETLY OUT! DONT DO IT!
Gloss lipstick can be the better option. I used the same for a long time.
